These courses are offered as an option during the Summer 2025 session. If you request, and are placed in, any of these courses, you must attend during the summer session. Due to the course being offered in a compacted format, daily attendance is mandatory. If you do not attend, you will not be able to take the course in the fall. Instead, you will be required to take the course during the following academic year (2025-26) as all courses except Art Survey are graduation requirements.
Wisconsin Virtual School Courses
This summer we are offering two courses through the Wisconsin Virtual School. These courses are virtual and asynchronous (self-paced). Students who take a course through WVS are required to sign a course completion contract and must complete the course with a grade of C or better to avoid financial penalty.
Veterinary Science
Grades 9-12, June 2-July 25, 0.5 elective credits
As animals play an increasingly important role in our lives, scientists have sought to learn more about their health and well-being. Taking a look at the pets that live in our homes, on our farms, in zoos and wildlife sanctuaries, this course will examine some of the most common diseases and treatments for domestic animals. Toxins, parasites, and infectious diseases impact not only the animals around us, but at times...we humans as well! Through veterinary medicine and science, the prevention and treatment of diseases and health issues is studied and applied.
Marine Science
