Welcome to the Menasha Joint School District Staff and Organizational Development Department. Menasha strives to provide quality staff development that supports district, building and professional goals for student learning. Our Staff Development Program is guided by the National Staff Development Standards. |

Currently District staff development provides learning opportunities in the following areas: Spanish for Educators I, II and III, Assessment Literacy I and II, Dimensions of Learning, Six Traits of Writing, Advanced Six Traits plus One, Six Traits Writing Assessment, Mentor training, Teacher Coach training, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training, Conscious Discipline training, Understanding the Framework of Poverty and Professional Learning Communities, Collaborative Culture training and other trainings that support student learning.

Our new teachers receive a district coach, mentor, and participate in new teacher seminars scheduled throughout the school year. New teachers complete Dimensions of Learning based on the work of Robert Marzano and Assessment Literacy training based on the work of Richard J. Stiggins during the first two years of employment. Licensing support is provided to staff and administrators. Initial and Professional educators that are participating in the PI 34, PDP, Professional Development Plans receive support from the District PI 34 committee, PI 34 – PDP District Facilitator(s) through district PDP workshops and materials. We continue to develop PDP Team certified staff and administrators. Many Menasha Teachers and Administrators have completed the training and offer their participation on PDP teams at no cost to our new employees.
Organizational Development serves: professional recruitment, hiring, licensure of Highly Qualified Teaching staff, contract support, Federal, State and Local Grants, Title Programs, Charter Schools, SAGE and ESEA, NCLB coordination, Valley Area Reading Recovery Consortium, Professional Learning Communities, Extended Learning/Community Learning Centers, Bilingual/Bicultural/Diversity programming for the schools and community.
